Your decision to pursue therapy takes a lot of courage and strength. Finding the right therapist is a very important part of supporting your emotional well-being. I believe you should know within a few sessions whether a therapist is right for you.
As a relational therapist, it is important to create a safe environment for you, that allows for healing and growth to occur. This environment includes respect and support for you to share why you have come to therapy, who you are, and your life experiences. Building a trusting relationship in therapy is a way to create better relationships with others in your life.
I work with individuals that are 18 and older and couples. Most of my experience as a therapist is helping clients with anxiety, depression and other mood disorders. Working through life transitions like marriage and premarital counseling, divorce, children, physical health/cancer, and body image/eating disorders.
